Plugin Protector is the new WordPress plugin that allows you to mark selected plugins as protected.

Installation & Usage: Install and activate it, after activation visit your admin area Dashboard -> Plugins -> Protection and tick the plugins you want to protect then click Save Plugin Protection button.

Now from next time WordPress will show up new updates of all your plugins including the protected ones but when you will run plugins update it will only update the unprotected plugins and show up a message with names of your protected plugins asking you to override protection.

Same it does when you try to delete your protected plugins.

Installation & Usage: Install and activate Menu Image. After activation it automatically adds a new field for uploading the image in a menu item and this displays the image inside the link present in your site menu before the text.

Customization:

You can change align text vertically: Wrap link text in element and add to your style.css: .menu li a img { vertical-align: middle; }.

You can add another size for image: Just register another image size in your theme with function add_image_size().

You can wrap menu link text in `span` html element:

Where you show your menu with function <?php wp_nav_menu(); ?> as param you can add array('link_before' => '<span>', 'link_after' => '</span>'). It makes css markup easier.

How It Works ?

When encrypted email addresses are present inside your contnet like post or page, BetterAntiSpamBot automatically adds a single, uniquely generated JavaScript function to footer.

First, the plugin generates a key and splits it into variables. Then it randomly generates variable-, function- and parameter names using similar UTF-8 characters. Finally the code gets compressed and reduced to one line. And in this way it makes automated email harvesting pretty hard for spammers.

MoinMoin

Plone is another free and open source content management system which is built on the top of the Zope application server. It displays the post count for each subsite and also creates a new PHP function that can used inside your theme templates for displaying an ordered list which can be designed as a block of information using CSS.

You can  order the list by blog name, post count, blog creation date or last update, in ascending or descending order. You can exclude the blogs from list based on various criteria or individually simply by blog ID.
